“It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey.”

– Wendell Berry

About Us

We are honored to have worked with so many wonderful clients. Here, two longtime colleagues share their thoughts.

"I am blessed to have experienced so many of the wonderful trainings provided by Barb Davis and Brenda Burgner at Turning Point Counseling, Training, and Workshops over the past 8 years, including Levels II & III of The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music, Levels I & II Reiki, and Levels I & II Circles of the Self. I am able to incorporate all that I learn from these trainings into my holistic counseling practice where I now provide a variety of experiential techniques and tools to support clients who are looking for more than just talk therapy. These experiences have also made my work as a therapist more fulfilling and exciting.

"Barb and Brenda are amazing women and therapists. They are fun and professional, they adhere to the highest standards of ethics, they are incredibly compassionate and patient when teaching, and they are passionate about their work as therapists and trainers. I love being a part of this community (family!) and I continuously learn more about myself, others, and my work as a therapist as I dive into these unique opportunities for the deep, personal inner work that is essential for remaining healthy when working in the healing professions. I would recommend any (all!) of these trainings to anyone who is serious about knowing themselves on a deeper and more compassionate level so that they can more effectively hold space for others to do the same."

"I have trained in both GIM and Circles of the Self. In addition to them being excellent additions to my clinical tool kit, they have shown me new perspectives that have enriched all areas of my practice and transformed my life.

"I took my first Level I GIM course 10 years ago, and it has been a part of my life and journey ever since. Now as I reflect, there is a clear distinction between before GIM and after GIM. When GIM found me, I started on a journey towards discovering a part of myself that had been lost even to me. This journey wasn’t always easy, but it was always healing and always worth it. I became a part of a tribe that knew and honored this knew Self. My tribe offered me a sense of acceptance and belonging that I had never felt before. But most of all, they supported and encourage me as I learned to live my life in a way that was more and more authentic to myself. My life after GIM has overflowed with blessings; the deep and lasting relationships and Self Love would have been enough. I am so grateful that GIM has graced my life."
